This jiazhutai lacquer dish is made of hemp cloth with layers of lacquer. The entire dish is painted with black lacquer decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay. It depicts a scene from a play, Romance of the Western Chamber, where the protagonist, Cui Yingying, encounters Zhang Sheng at Pujiu Temple. It features beautiful colors and delicate designs.
